Graduation gifts

A lady at work commissioned me to make 2 bracelets for her twin nieces for their high school graduation. She provided me with a couple of inspiration pictures and let me know some of the elements she definitely wanted incorporated into the designs, but left it up to me to come up with something pretty and sophisticated for newly graduated girls heading out into the world. Interestingly enough, I came up with something quite different than the inspiration pics and she was very pleased despite my fears. I thought they turned out quite nicely, but it might have been a bit too different than what she had envisioned.  The one feature I thought was kind of neat was that I made the 2010 charm with a lobster claw clasp so they could be removed after the thrill of graduation has passed. These bracelets were designed to be able to be worn with an LBD (little black dress) or something a bit more casual like jeans and a crisp white blouse.  After all, you don't have to have a special occasion to wear pretty jewelry, now do you? Of course not!

You can click each picture to see a larger detailed version of them.

The bracelets are gorgeous... I think just like the twins, they are identical but not completely similar. It's also well balanced and I honestly can't tell which is more beautiful. They'd surely treasure your creations.
